1880: Ellen Fish (his mother) asks for Albert’s return from orphanage | Now uses the alias, “Albert”
1882: Albert (age 12) begins affair with an older telegraph boy | Albert discovers coprophagia, urolagnia, and spies on naked boys at bathhouse
1890: Albert moves to New York City; works has a prostitute; and, rapes young boys
1898: Albert marries Anna Mary Hoffman | The couple has 6 children over their 19-year marriage | Albert works as a traveling house painter and molests children in different cities
1903: Albert arrested for grand larceny and sent to Sing Sing prison (Westchester County, NY)
1910: Albert meets Thomas Kedden, tortures him and sexually mutilates him
1917: Anna Mary leaves Albert for a boarder in their home, John Straube | Albert begins to hallucinate and self-mutilate
1919: Albert stabs a boy in Washington, DC and develops his ‘Implements from Hell:” a meat cleaver; hand saw; and, butcher knife

1926: Police suspect Albert murdered Emma Richardson (age 5)

1928: Albert attempts to kill Cyril Quinn, but fails | Albert murders 10-year-old Grace Budd; her body isn’t found for another 6 years
1930: Fish marries Estella Wilcox, but the marriage is annulled: He hasn’t divorced his first wife, Anna Mary
1931: Albert goes to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital for observation after writing a series of obscene letters to house maids applying for work | Police suspect Albert murdered Robin Jane Liu (age 6)
1932: Police suspect Albert murdered Mary Ellen O’Connor (age 16) and Benjamin Collings (age 17)
1934: Police arrest Albert for the murder of Grace Budd
March 11, 1935: Albert goes on trial for murdering Grace Budd; found guilty and sentenced to death by electric chair
